Loved this so much and couldn't agree more. As a longtime digital writer for lifestyle publications (People, Eater, Buzzfeed), interacting with PR agencies has been a part of my world for decades. And now, as a bestselling Substack author (my Substack is about interior design and vintage), I often feel like I am smacking my head against the wall trying to communicate with agencies — not even about gifting, or about paid sponsorships, but just to get answers to simple questions about products. I hope more agencies will take a closer look at Substack and what it could mean for their clients. I believed in it so much I invested shortly after I launched mine roughly three years ago!
